Action Cam Test on the Slopes of Kimbo

What a week.

On Wednesday night I found myself in the emergency room at the East Kootenay Hospital in Cranbrook, BC, battling the most wicked infection I’ve had in a long time. I couldn’t swallow water, was having difficulties breathing, and had two golf ball-sized lymphs nodes appearing aggressively on the right side of my neck and collarbone.

Credit to my lovely fiancé for capturing me all gorked up on steroids, antibiotics, and fluid.

Flash forward to Friday morning. Lesson learned: an intravenous and a good doctor can really turn your life around in a hurry. I feel a squillion times better than I did a few days ago and when my new Akaso EK7000 4K Action Camera (you can find it online here) arrived in the mail this morning, well, I had to test it out. Here’s the final result.

I am completely impressed with the quality of the video (shoots in 4K 25 fps) and also how easy the camera is to operate. The whole kit comes with a waterproof case, a huge assortment of mounts, two batteries, an external charger, and a remote control for a grand total of $85 CAD taxes in!

After playing around with this thing for a few hours today, I can safely say that I am utterly pissed off with myself for being an early adopter who has five GoPro’s in his current action cam collection. 😦

Enjoy your weekend, folks!
